Distributed Video (high definition video switching)

With the advent of high definition video, which includes Bluray players, HD DStv, AppleTV, and other high definition sources, the way we transport video has changed dramatically. Hdmi may be a term you've been hearing a lot of lately, as well as terms like 720p and 1080p which refer to the HD resolution. You've probably invested in at least one flat panel that may be HD Ready (720p), or True HD (1080p), but probably haven't upgraded the way your TV is wired, which is a waste of your expensive panel purchase.

High definition video distribution has many tricky obstacles, one being the limit to which Hdmi cable can be run, which is generally 20 meters. The second obstacle is the way the equipment "handshakes" to the TV's to avoid copyright infringement.

Audico uses proven technology, technology we've been installing for years, technology that works.

Leaf 1080p component video switches can be run to lengths of 200m and provides true high definition to all displays. The Leaf video switch contains a head end unit which is connected via 2 x Cat5/6/7 cables to the video plate that exists at the TV. The Leaf transports video, digital audio, stereo audio as well as IR signals.

Intellix Hdmi video switches can be run to lengths of 200m and provides true Hdmi high definition video to all displays. The Intellix unit, as the Leaf, contains a head end unit which is connected via 2 x Cat5/6/7 cables to the video plate that exists at the TV. The Intellix transports Hdmi digital video and audio as well as IR signals
