To find out what distributed audio is, please check the "overview" page. There are a number of competing technologies in this sector and we at Hometek have tested almost all of them. We have chosen to support only a few based on affordability, functionality and music clarity. Crestron The Adagio Audio Distribution System (AADS) delivers a complete, low-cost solution for high-performance multi-room audio distribution. Right out of the box, the AADS provides sophisticated audio signal routing, processing, and amplification for up to 6 rooms, controllable from its LCD-driven front panel and a choice of room controllers. Russound - A bit more expensive but completely open ended in terms of control. Russound can be fully integrated to the home management system giving you ultimate control of distributed audio. HAI HiFi - More of a starter system in terms of distributed audio, HiFi can work standalone or integrate with an HAI management system. Digilinx (pdf)- The ultimate in distributed audio, the Digilinx by Netstreams is IP based meaning it is simply the most open ended distributed audio system available. Control 4 - Wireless control of distributed audio system in the form of Zigbee. Control 4 distributed audio has a 8 source 8 zone audio amplifier and more than one can be used for those big installations. Works great with a Control 4 home automation system and has endless programming functionalities.
